A Apple Music divulgou sua lista dos 100 melhores álbuns de todos os tempos. O ranking foi construído como uma declaração editorial, sem considerar dados de streaming ou vendas, e contou com a participação de artistas como Pharrell Williams, J Balvin, Maren Morris e Charli XCX no processo de curadoria.
No topo está The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (1998), à frente de Thriller (1982) e Abbey Road (1969) — uma escolha que a própria Lauryn Hill agradeceu com humildade, ressaltando todos os artistas que a inspiraram. Ainda assim, a lista gerou polêmica: fãs criticaram a posição de 1989 (Taylor’s Version), de Taylor Swift, que ficou em 18º lugar, acima de Pet Sounds, dos Beach Boys (20º), e de Hounds of Love, de Kate Bush (50º).
